Van der Westhuizen bows out

MELBOURNE, Australia, Nov 8 (AFP) - Joost van der Westhuizen was upbeat for
the future of South African rugby after his glittering 11-year Test career
ended in defeat against New Zealand here Saturday.
The 32-year-old scrum-half, South Africa's most-capped player and a key
member of the side that won the World Cup on home soil in 1995, said he felt no
disappointment for himself only his team-mates.
"It's not about sadness for ending my career, it's sadness for losing the
match. That's the sad part," said the Blue Bull star after New Zealand's 29-9
quarter-final win at Docklands ...
