(The Dickinsonian) (U-WIRE) CARLISLE, Pa. -- Nearly one in five Dickinson College students graduates with a double major, even though top Dickinson officials advise against it. Dickinson's career center director says that double majoring will not make students any more marketable to prospective employers.
The double major rate has held steady over the past seven years with 16 to 19 percent of students completing the requirements, said Associate Dean and Registrar Brenda Bretz.
The percentages include those who add and drop the second major at the last minute.
