Kuala Lumpur team tops in lion dance

KUALA Lumpur Kwong Ngai A troupe came in tops after it defeated 10 other finalists in the 11th Malaysian Lion Dance Championship 2003 held at the Arena Of Stars in Genting Highlands, Pahang recently.

The two-year-old troupe, led by 35-year-old Clement Tan, took home RM5,000, a trophy and medals for each participant.
The first runner-up was the Goh Chor Wushu troupe from Segamat, Johor, followed by the Kun Seng Keng team B from Muar, Johor.

The Muar team was the champion at last year's competition.

The first runner-up walked away with RM3,000, a trophy and medals for each participant.
