Memo: (STF) - By encouraging SMEs to pursue environmental efficiency through the
PUSHING environmental reporting without discussing environmental management is akin to putting the cart before the horse. Before companies can embark on environmental reporting, environmental management systems need to be put in place to enable companies to assess their ecological footprint.
To achieve credibility, companies are encouraged to aim for ISO 14001 certification, which is the International Standard Organisation's environmental management system specification.
