GLENEALY Plantations (Malaya) Bhd is on the lookout for suitable land
acquisition opportunities in an effort to expand its landbank.
Managing director Yaw Chee Ming said such a move is crucial to ensure
further growth in its crops production and future earnings.
He said the land expansion, however, will be concentrated in Sabah and
Sarawak only.
"Aside from easier approval to purchase the land, the price there is
also much cheaper compared to Peninsular Ma- laysia," he told a press conference
after Glenealy Plantations' and Lingui Developments Bhd's annual general
meetings in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
