(The Pitt News) (U-WIRE) PITTSBURGH -- Since the recent outbreak of Hepatitis A in Beaver County, Pa., more people are concerned with where their food is coming from and whether or not it is safe to eat.

On Friday, the Food and Drug Administration announced that green onions from Mexico caused the Hepatitis A outbreak that originated in a Chi-Chi's Mexican Restaurant at the Beaver Valley Mall. The FDA is currently investigating several Mexican food suppliers as possible providers of the green onions.

The FDA also reported that the same green onions were the cause of hepatitis outbreaks in restaurants in Georgia and Tennessee. The organization is ...
