The Spanish gas group Gas Natural said Thursday it agreed to raise its stakes in two Brazilian gas distributors.
Gas Natural agreed to buy from U.S.-based Enron Corp. a 25.39 percent stake in Companhia Distribuidora de Gas do Rio de Janeiro, or CEG, as well as Enron's 33.75 percent stake in CEG-Rio, a CEG unit.
Following the operation, Gas Natural's stake in CEG will rise to 54.16 percent, and in CEG-Rio to 72 percent. It didn't release financial details.
