Representatives from Major League Baseball addressed audiences at the 33rd
Annual Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Legislative Conference
recently in Washington, DC. Remarks made by Jimmie Lee Solomon, Senior Vice
President, Baseball Operations, and Wendy Lewis, Vice President, Strategic
Planning, Recruitment and Diversity, highlighted new and ongoing Major
League Baseball programs that reach out and respond to a diverse-cross
section of the community, and encourage minority participation at all
levels of the game.
Ms. Lewis joined in a panel hosted by Congressman John Conyers, Jr. (DMI)
