ISLAND & Peninsular Bhd (I&P) managing director Dr Radzuan Abdul
Rahman has been tipped as the next possible candidate to head Golden Hope
Plantations Bhd.
Industry sources said speculation is rife that Radzuan may be offered
the post by Golden Hope given his former position as the company's group
director for plantations in the 1980s.
"Besides, Radzuan is better known in the industry as a 'plantation
man' with 24 years of experience rather than a 'property man'," a source
told Business Times yesterday.
On Tuesday, Kumpulan Guthrie Bhd announced that it would not renew the
contract of its current group chief executive Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
