Awards Ceremony Held For The Late Glenda Fay Joyner
The words "inspiration," "ambition," and "excellence" took on a whole new
meaning recently when the Second Annual Glenda Fay Joyner Memorial
Scholarship Award Ceremony was held at Sacramento's St. Paul Church of God
in Christ (COGIC).
With a tribute to the late life of the scholarship's namesake, the
presentation of the 2003 scholarship recipients and inspiring words from
keynote speaker Dr. Howard Harris, the program truly inspired all those in
attendance.
Ms. Joyner passed away in April 2000, but her memory, innovation and
educational achievements continue to inspire many in the community in which
she served.
