IPOH, Fri. - A woman threatened to jump to her death from the emergency staircase on the eighth floor of the Ipoh Hospital building but she was thwarted by firemen and hospital staff.
The woman, in her 40s, who was not a hospital patient, kept her rescuers at bay with threats to jump for 20 minutes before she was pulled into the building.
A hospital attendant said he saw the woman walking up the staircase at 10.30am.
"I told her not to go up but she refused to obey. At that moment, she was just about to climb the staircase," he said.
