(Daily Mississippian) (U-WIRE) OXFORD, Miss. -- The S. Gale Denley Student Media Center will move over the summer to Bishop Hall where student journalists will work together and begin to put media convergence into practice at the University of Mississippi.
Ralph Braseth, director of the S. Gale Denley Student Media Center, said people are consuming news in "very different ways" than they have in the past, and journalism students specializing in one medium need to realize the opportunities and processes used in other media.
"Convergence is here," Braseth said. "It's real, and the consumer is demanding it.
