Bridgton may have new police and fire chiefs within weeks, as the town moves into the last phase of a search to fill its two top public-safety positions. The incumbents will retire next month.
Bridgton's Police Chief Search Committee interviewed four candidates Tuesday night, and will meet another five tonight, according to the committee chairman and Selectman Robert "Woody" Woodward. All nine are men.
