THE successful staging of the Chinese New Year open house in Terengganu dominated the major Chinese dailies yesterday, with criticism reserved for the Pas State Government which denied a permit for the event.
Chinese leaders were irked by the decision of the State Government, which they claimed had trampled on the rights of non- Malays.
Reports on the open house, which attracted nearly 40,000 people, were given prominent coverage in all newspapers.
