Celia Cruz tops Billboard Latin Music nods

MIAMI, Feb 12, 2004 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- Celia Cruz, Colombian rocker Juanes and pop star Ricky Martin are the top nominees for the Billboard Latin Music Awards on April 29 in Miami.

Cruz, known as the "Queen of Salsa," earned seven nominations, including top Latin album artist, top tropical album and top female. She also was nominated twice in the Latin greatest hits album of the year category for "Exitos Eternos" and "Hits Mix," Billboard reported Thursday.

Juanes and Martin each received five nominations.

Three of Juanes' nods are for "Fotografia," his duet with Nelly Furtado from 2001's ...
