SHARES of poultry-based company DBE Gurney Resources Bhd ignored the
deadly bird flu virus threat to open its first trading day with a 33 per
cent premium.
DBE opened with a 40 sen premium over its RM1.20 a share offer price
on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) second board.
The stock hit an intra-day high of RM1.60 and its intra-day low of
RM1.19. The counter closed at RM1.23 as the most active stock with a total
of 25.9 million shares traded.
The KLSE Composite Index notched almost 0.38 per cent, or 3.08 points,
to close at 815.14 points yesterday while shares of other poultry-based
companies closed mixed.
