MARUWA (M) Sdn Bhd, which controls about 60 per cent of the global
ceramic electronics market, will invest an additional RM80 million within
the next three years as part of its expansion plans in Malacca.
The company, which operates at the Batu Berendam Free Trade zone, has
so far invested RM250 million in the state since starting operations in
1991.
Maruwa executive adviser Manimaran Anthony said Maruwa's expansion in
Malaysia is tied to the country's strong underlying fundamentals.
Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony of the company's sixth plant
in Malacca yesterday, Anthony said a number of multinational companies
