'50 First Dates' tops U.S. box office

HOLLYWOOD, Feb 15, 2004 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- In its debut week, Sony's "50 First Dates" grossed $41 million and topped the U.S. box office, according to the Web site boxofficemojo.com.

"Barbershop 2: Back in Business," distributed by MGM, added $15.6 million to its box office of $44 million.

Disney's "Miracle," added $14 million to its $37 million box office.

New Line's "Butterfly Effect" added $5.7 million to its $50 million box office.
