(Kansas State Collegian) (U-WIRE) MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Music therapy is not just a fad.
In fact, it already has established itself and is growing to include several areas.
John Richard, a music teacher at Bergman Elementary near Kansas State University, incorporates music therapy in his lessons with severely disabled students.
"It's really just a matter of looking at what needs to be done and doing it," Richard said.
Richard is a certified music therapist, although his school district has no official music therapy program.
The district offers other therapy programs -- including horticulture, drama and aquatic therapy -- but budget restrictions do not ...
