The city of Portland will suspend its nearly complete property revaluation, despite concerns that a year's delay will do little to lessen the blow of an expected 12.5 percent increase in the residential tax burden.
The council agreed during a workshop Monday to put off implementing the revaluation for a year. Although there was no vote, the council reached an apparent consensus.
