The United States and Morocco on Tuesday concluded a free trade agreement designed to remove tariff barriers and open markets to workers, farmers and consumers in both countries.

The accord follows similar ones the United States has reached in recent weeks with Australia and five Central American countries _ Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica and Honduras.

The Bush administration has been accelerating its negotiating efforts since last year when it won authority from Congress to complete new free trade deals.
