Rover finds strong evidence of Mars water

WASHINGTON, Mar 02, 2004 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- NASA's $820 million investment in Mars rovers paid off Tuesday as scientists reported the latest data from the Opportunity rover shows liquid water once drenched the surface of the red planet.

Opportunity currently is exploring Mars along with its twin, Spirit.
