Opera singer Denyce Graves, who is five months' pregnant, doesn't know the sex of her unborn baby _ and she's happy to be in the dark.
"Isn't it great?" Graves said in a recent interview with The Associated Press. "I just thank God for whatever it is."
People don't need to know everything, she said.
"First of all, we had the big letdown with no Santa Claus ... no Easter Bunny. ... How many surprises are there left in life? Why can't you just wait?"
Keeping her performance schedule while pregnant hasn't been easy, Graves said.
