Christine L. James-Brown has left a solid mark on the United Way of
Southeastern Pennsylvania.
For the last 10 years, James-Brown has been serving as CEO of UWSEPA,
leading Philadelphia's largest private non-profit organization for health
and human services. Under her leadership, the organization has raised over
$50 million annually and distributed funds to over 2,500 community-based
agencies.
Now after 25 years of working with the UWSEPA, the time has come for her to
move a little further up the ladder. She will become the fifth president of
United Way International (UWI). She succeeds Robert M. Beggan, who has had
a 35-year career with UWI.
