It's not easy to describe a whole style of music in just a few words, but Vancouver's Jennifer Pratt-Walter gamely gives it a try.
Asked who would like Celtic tunes, she pauses, then speaks with conviction.
"You'll like Celtic music if you like music that stirs the emotions," she says.
Anyone ready to be stirred has a couple of opportunities this week to see if Pratt-Walter speaks the truth. She and her musical partner, Valerie Blessley, will perform as the duo Celtic Muse at a Vancouver book store on March 12 and at a Vancouver restaurant on March 17.
