Thursday, March 11, 2004 -- Prime Minister Ariel Sharon will discuss the future of the settlements to be evacuated in Gaza with Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei when the two meet next week, senior diplomatic officials said Wednesday.

Among the options being considered and likely to be raised are the idea that the settlements will be handed over to an international organization, which will then transfer authority to the PA in order to keep Hamas and Islamic Jihad from gaining control of them.
