The Cheesecake Factory Inc., a casual-dining chain, said Wednesday that Peter D'Amelio has been promoted to president and chief operating officer of the company's restaurant division.
Reporting to chairman and chief executive David Overton, D'Amelio will have responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the company's Cheesecake Factory and Grand Lux Cafe restaurants.
He previously served as senior vice president of all of the company's restaurant operations, prior to his most recent assignment as president of the Grand Lux Cafe concept.
D'Amelio, 42, joined The Cheesecake Factory in 1990 as a restaurant manager.
