Fed: Korean War veterans dying at higher rates

CANBERRA, March 18 AAP - Australia's Korean War veterans are dying at a rate 21 per
cent higher than the general population and are more likely to be killed by cancer.
These were the key findings of a mortality report into the health of Australian veterans
of the Korean War released today by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
The study found some of the diseases with higher mortality rates had been linked with
cigarette smoking.
