(Daily Trojan) (U-WIRE) LOS ANGELES -- History repeated itself Saturday night as the No. 15 USC men's volleyball team fell to No. 6 Pepperdine for the second time this season, 3-2 (19-30, 26-30, 30-23, 30-21, 15-11).
The Waves (12-6, 8-6 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) were led by outside hitter Fred Winters and outside hitter Sean Rooney, who had 21 kills apiece, to oust the Trojans (6-15, 4-10 MPSF). Winters hit .415 with 11 digs and six blocks, and Rooney hit .356 with eight digs and four blocks.
