The internationally-acclaimed Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, led by
Artistic Director Judith Jamison, returns to the Fabulous Fox Theatre Feb.
5-8. Building on the success of last year's engagement at the Fox, the
Ailey group expects rousing audiences and critical acclaim again this year.
The 30-member company, founded in 1958 by Alvin Ailey, has earned a
reputation as an international ambassador of American culture, promoting
the uniqueness of African-American cultural experience and the preservation
and enrichment of the American modern dance heritage.
