PALO ALTO, Calif. - If you are trying to decide which pow wows to go to
this year and your journey happens to take you through California then you
do not want to miss the Stanford Pow Wow.
The world-famous university also features a world famous pow wow. Each year
more than 30,000 people make the annual trek to the Stanford campus, about
30 miles south of San Francisco, to take part in the weekend-long event at
the Eucalyptus Grove near the historic campus stadium.
The Stanford Pow Wow attracts a diverse group of American Indians and other
Native people from across the United States and Canada. Over 300 dancers
