'Simpsons' appearance for Matt Groening

LOS ANGELES, Apr 14, 2004 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- "The Simpsons" creator Matt Groening will make his first ever voice appearance on the show Sunday, Fox TV announced Wednesday.

Groening has appeared in the series before, but not in a speaking role. His previous appearances have included the placing of a framed photo of him in Comic Book Guy's store, where Groening is banned for life.
