Antigua and Barbuda will begin using a new Eastern Caribbean $10 (US$3.75) bank note Thursday with security features designed to thwart counterfeiters.
The new notes will have upgraded security features including yellow-green security thread against a blue background and a foil stamp indicating the value of the note, The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank said.
The letters ECCB and the denomination of each note will also be raised to the touch.
The features are the same as the ones used on the new EC$20 (US$7.50) note, which was put into circulation in this twin-island Caribbean nation last week.
