Security Committee on House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee
on Aviation April 22, 2004 Mr. Chairman, Members of the Subcommittee: I
am pleased to appear before you today, to discuss the Department of Homeland
Security, Office of Inspector General`s review of the Transportation Security
Administration`s (TSA) pilot passenger and baggage screening program. On
November 19, 2001, the President signed the Aviation and Transportation
Security Act (ATSA) that created TSA. ATSA required TSA to assume control
