The proposed 2004-2005 Yarmouth budget now awaits the judgment of town voters, after the Town Council voted this week to send the $26.8 million package to the annual town meeting on June 9.
Education spending is up 2.8 percent, but municipal spending is down 2.5 percent, and the total budget increase is just higher than $200,000 - less than 1 percent higher than this year's budget of $26.6 million.
