Malaysia's fundamentalist Islamic opposition party on Thursday urged the United Nations to investigate reports of abuse of Iraqi prisoners by the U.S. military, which it accused of behaving "worse than wild animals."
In a letter to Secretary-General Kofi Annan, the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party said the world body should establish a special commission to investigate the scandal and take "political and economic measures" against the United States and Britain to prevent further abuses.
