SA: Hicks' lawyer worried at Guantanamo Bay abuse claims

ADELAIDE, May 6 AAP - The alleged mistreatment of detainees at Guantanamo Bay was evidence
of systematic problems within the US military, a lawyer for Australian terror suspect
David Hicks said today.

Hicks, from Adelaide, is one of two Australians being detained by the US at the military
base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Hicks and the other Australian - Mamdouh Habib, from Sydney - have been detained without
charge for more than two years on suspicion of having links to terrorist groups.
