Article: Gen Vij first Indian Army chief to visit Central Command

Indian Army Chief General Nirmal Chand Vij March 11 kicked off a two-week
visit to the United States, at the invitation of his counterpart General
Peter Schumacher, with a high level meeting at the Pentagon where he was
accorded full military honors.

Sources said one of the major things taken up at Vij's meetings was the
C4I2 discussions - command, control, communications and computers and
intelligence and inter-operability.

Over the weekend Vij, accompanied by Schumacher will have made a historic
visit to the Central Command in Tampa - the first by an Indian Army chief.
He will be hosted by the US Special Forces Command Center, Tampa.
