Urbana High School students had two special visitors recently - Walter and
Eda Teague of Kensington, who were in the Philippines during World War II.

The two came to the school as part of a presentation on World War II field
hospitals.

As part of their presentation the Teagues told students how Japanese
soldiers in World War II did not recognize international law regarding
battlefield behavior and would often take shots at medics, despite highly
visible Red Cross armbands.

Filipino children scavenged the jungles following gunfights for the
discarded boots of the dead.
