Internet Advertising Market Remains Nascent

BEIJING, May 12, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- According to the research of Shanghai iResearch Co., Ltd. (iResearch) , a leading research firm in China, the share of China's Internet advertising marketonly accounts for 1 of the world market, although its users rank the second.

It means the Internet economy in China is far from prosperity.

Yang Weiqing, the general manager of iResearch, said the advertising growth of Chinese TVs, newspapers, broadcasts and magazines, the four main traditional mediums, was only 11.9, CNY 51 billion, in 2003, while the Internet advertising only accounts for 2.
