Analysis: Voters swayed by campaign ads

WASHINGTON, May 13, 2004 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- U.S. voters may be skeptical of presidential campaign ads, but many still believe the dubious statements sometimes presented in them, according to a national election survey.

Poll results from 18 election battleground states show more than half of respondents believed claims -- including inaccurate ones -- made in campaign ads for President George W. Bush and Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., the presumptive Democratic Party nominee.
