With Kerry Wood and Mark Prior ailing, the Chicago Cubs need Carlos Zambrano to pitch like an ace.

That's exactly what he's doing.

Zambrano struck out 11 Thursday and dominated the Los Angeles Dodgers, allowing two hits in eight innings of a 7-3 victory.

"Everything is working," Zambrano said. "I'm more comfortable, more experienced, I know the league better. I just go out there and have fun."
