'Troy' tops U.S. box office
HOLLYWOOD, May 16, 2004 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- Brad Pitt's "Troy," distributed by Warner Bros., topped the U.S. box office grossing $45 million in its debut week, boxofficemojo.com reported Sunday.
Universal's "Van Helsing' added $20 million to its box office of $85 million.
Paramount's "Mean Girls" added $10 million to its box office of $55 million.
In its premier week, "Breakin' All the Rules," distributed by Screen Gems, grossed $5.3 million.
Fox's "Man on Fire" added $5.2 million to its box ...
