Anhui Enlarges Rice Planted Area
ANHUI, May 18, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- The early rice planted area is predicted to be 5 million mu this year(1 mu = 667 square meters), 1 million mu larger than that of last year in Anhui Province.
Sixty percent of the whole early rice area has been planted and the other will be finished early this month.
The double-harvest late rice planted area is estimated to be 5.5 million mu.
