Midea Counterattacks Galanz in Microwave Oven Market

CHINA, May 18, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Midea, a giant home appliance maker based in Foshan City, Guangdong Province, China, triggers a counterattack against Guangdong Galanz Enterprise Group Co., Ltd. (Galanz), a bellwether in the Chinese microwave oven market. Galanz is also based in the city.

Midea strives to market cheaper convection-ovens with the priceof CNY 399 (USD 1 = CNY 8.2772), in response to a price-cut convection-oven-centric promotion initiated by rival Galanz.
