SA: New research on body heat may lead to insomnia cure
ADELAIDE, May 27 AAP - Body temperature might hold the key to curing insomnia, new
research indicates.
A study at the University of South Australia has found body temperature plays a vital
role in the onset of sleep.
It revealed that the body needed to drop its core temperature to initiate sleep and
insomniacs consistently had a warmer body temperature immediately before retiring.
"About one to one-and-a-half hours before falling asleep, the body starts to lose heat
from its central core and that brings on increased feelings of tiredness in normal healthy
