(Colorado Daily) (U-WIRE) BOULDER, Colo. -- Local Green Party officials say with a national election looming, they're losing membership to the Democrats in a show of unity to try to defeat President George W. Bush in November. But, the leaders say, the Greens are germinating in Colorado and looking toward the future for their viability.

The Green Party's platform centers on advocating social justice, environmentalism, non-violence, feminism and gender equality, among other tenets, according to the Colorado Green Party Web site, www.greens.org/colorado.
