Sunday, June 13, 2004 -- Yesterday, Tel Aviv concluded week-long celebrations of its uniqueness as an outdoor Bauhaus architectural museum of unparalleled scope and proportion. The concentration and variety of what is known as the International Style led UNESCO last July to declare Tel Aviv an international heritage city.

The honor was officially bestowed last week, yet incredibly aroused little attention or excitement among ordinary Israelis, Tel Avivians included.
