WA: Rescue team in bid to free whale entangled in fishing lines

PERTH, June 16 AAP - West Australian conservation experts will try to free a humpback
whale entangled in craypot lines off WA's mid north coast.

The 40 tonne, 12 metre whale was spotted by a commercial fishing vessel this morning,
10km offshore from Kalbarri, in the state's Mid-West region.

According to WA's Department of Conservation and Land Management (CALM), the animal
is swimming but is dragging lines and floats ...
