FED: Aboriginal remains to be repatriated from the US

By Chris Herde

BRISBANE, June 17 AAP - Ancient Aboriginal remains acquired by an American private
collector during a boomerang-throwing tournament in 1987 will be returned to Australia.

The remains of four Aborigines who died between 15,000 and 20,000 years ago will be
retrieved from Michigan University this week by an Aboriginal delegation.

Aboriginal activist Bob Weatherall, who is part of the delegation, will meet with university
officials and local indigenous people.

"There will be no spiritual peace till all our ancestors are returned to their traditional
homelands," Mr Weatherall said.
